Conroy Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy
was founded by Dr. Douglas E. Conroy in 1986 in order to provide physical therapy
at a higher quality and a more personal level. Physicians from all over the Chicagoland area
refer to Conroy Physical Therapy because they trust and value the competent care their patients receive.
Former patients' referral of their family and friends have sustained our growth over the last three decades. Karen Lorch: Physical Therapist
Karen Lorch P.T. holds a Bachelor Degree in Biology, Psychology and Physical Therapy, granted from the University of Illinois. She has completed course work in the treatment of knee, ankle, shoulder and back injuries, post-surgical joint replacement therapy, cervical and thoracic spine and lumbar functional stabilization training, soft tissue imbalance management, and patellofemoral treatment. Active in continuing education programs, Karen has taken numerous courses focusing on orthopedics, cervical spine/TMJ, hip, knee and shoulder knee rehabilitation. Since 1988, Karen has focused her treatment on craniosacral, pelvic floor rehab, TMJ elderly, Kinesio-taping, and soft-tissue/scar mobility.

Vestibular Specialist
Dr. Douglas G. Conroy PT, DPT, OCS is a graduate of Purdue University where he studied Health and Human Sciences and Pre-Physical Therapy. He attended D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY for his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He has received advanced certification and training as a board certified orthopaedic clinical specialist. He specializes in neural and orthopaedic certified rehabilitation. Douglas has taken numerous courses focusing on neural mobilizations, ankle/foot mechanics when walking and running, examination and treatment of cervical and lumbar spine movement dysfunction as well as shoulder, knee, and hip overuse injuries.

Lisa Hart: Physical Therapist
Lisa Hart, P.T. is a graduate of Northwestern University. She specializes in neural and orthopedic rehabilitation and has completed course work in various specialties including NDT, myofascial release, muscle energy for cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, craniosacral therapy, closed chain activities, pilates, neuromotor spinal rehabilitation. Since 1990 Lisa values treatment of the whole patient, addressing both the physical and emotional aspects, as she tailors treatment based on the individual's functional expectations.
Joanne Weaver: Physical Therapist
Joanne Weaver P.T. graduated from Marquette University. Since 1982 Joanne has had experience in every phase of physical therapy. Her specialty is working with children. As a pediatric therapist, she is NDT trained but has completed course work in myofascial release, craniosacral treatment, and Kinesio-taping. Joanne’s extensive experience has fostered a clinical perspective on invaluable insight into the spectrum of physical dysfunction occurring from infancy into older age.
